Hydraulic Engineer.  Flow Science has an immediate opening in our Philadelphia office for an entry-level engineering position analyzing flow in pipelines, open channels, and pump and turbine stations for raw, potable, recycled, and wastewater systems. You will use our custom software to perform hydraulic and pressure transient (surge) analyses and prepare client reports with design recommendations for surge protection and to optimize hydraulic performance. This position requires knowledge of fluid dynamics, good technical judgment, and a practical sense of engineering principles. Creative problem-solving skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills are also required.  Must be able to work both independently and as a team member. Experience in steady-state hydraulic modeling (EPANET), waterhammer analysis, pump/turbine analysis, hydrodynamics, and/or computational fluid dynamics (CFD) is also helpful but not required. A B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering is required, with an emphasis on hydraulics/hydrodynamics.  If not already underway or completed, you will be required to obtain your EIT and PE once hired.
