 Flow Science performed all of the hydraulic design analysis for Pipeline 5 (raw water) system that is 96-inch diameter and 20 miles long delivering 400 cfs to various users between the Authorities Diversion Structure and the Miramar Reservoir. Transients were analyzed for the effects of pump station and flow control facility operations on the pipeline.Flow Science also performed a hydraulic and transient analysis of the CWA’s Pipeline 6 from Lake Skinner (Metropolitan Water District) to the connection with Pipeline 5, Extension I at the Diversion Structure, and down to the Miramar Vents. This analysis also included numerous Emergency Storage Project alternatives with various pumping configurations.
